I think our neighbors to the left (looking at our house from the street) have vanished. For the second time since we have lived in our house, the tenants next door have left (I think). The last we saw anybody was Saturday and since then no car and no people. Mystery, total mystery.
Our other neighbors to the right put up giant lanterns on their garage, punctuated underneath with Romanesque flower pots. They were up well past bedtime sawing and drilling into the face of the modest car shack, turning it garish and awful (just my opinion).
That's just side to side, we love our neighborhood and we get to know it a little better each time we take B for a stroll around the block. We know where B's "friends " live and when they start to bark she picks up the pace, lifts her head and makes sure to strut a little taller. There is a big black rotweiller (rock wilder) who arches his back and poops whenever we go by, what an affect B has huh? The neatest thing about the evening walks in our neighborhood is the orange twilight that imparts a surreal glow into everything, rendering the "lit from within" warm buttery comfort color. Between walks we'll make sure to welcome the new renters on the left and try to ignore the obvious poor judgment of those on the right.

Wait until you see the carnival lights they just put up tonight. You also forgot to mention the decorative urns at the end of the walkway in the front of the house.(Neighbors to the right)
ReplyDeleteYour neighbors to the right need to meet Mary's brother and his wife. What will you tell Olivia about the cute boy leaving, though?
ReplyDeletepoor judgment.
ReplyDeleteIf the neighbors pitch a tent, expect Muammar Gaddafi.
