SNOW-TURKEY-FUTON: A glorious 4 days off. Yes, I got used to not going to work. I pulled Vicky (a little self-contiously) right in front of my aunt and uncle's house just as another relative, seen only on the holidays, was pulling out of the driveway. She was dropping off something she didn't want to carry from the sreet, and was re-parking so as not to be blocked in the drive. I slipped into her spot while she parked a block away. In the house she admitted saying "fuck" to the bad car-ma. Aside from that, Thanksgiving was a blessed event. Friday I actually braved the crowds of American consumers. Had fun and got alot of shopping done. Saturday was spent moving a friend, then recording, napping and recording some more. Three wonderful days. Sunday morning I shot off trying to replicate the good shopping vibes of Friday. I made the mistake of leaving Debra at the table in her sweat pants. "I'll be back in a flash." I figured she'd be ready to go out when I got back. A strange bad air followed me the rest of the day. Long faces and "you O.K.?"'s peppered the day. The problem: a futon. She wanted a futon before the holidays and told me so, but I went along my merry way oblivious. The evening brought release. Out of her head and into the air where the problem hung for a few seconds. Into my head and out of my mouth, "Let's go get a futon, baby." Three out of four aint bad.
