This is the Grand River as it swirls through Merrill, Wisconsin.

This is a "River Rat", the one in the back. The one in the front is my son, He just turned 12 and charmed his first girlfriend, her name is Nicole. River rats would lumberjack in the winter, river rat the logs to the mills in the spring and work the sawmills in the summer. We call him Jeb, as in Jebediah.
