The seeds seemed so thin and wispy, like long, lean black arrow heads with tan "feathers" on the ends. I didn't think any organic material could possibly sprout from them.
I learned that one should moisten the potting soil evenly before placing it into the flats and fill the pan with water so it can wick up into the mix. I made a couple of aluminum pans 24" x 24" x 2" and a stand to to hold them, it all seems to be working.

ReplyDeleteHandy! A nice little set-up.
ReplyDeleteDo you stand over them, shouting "It's Alive! It's Alive!"? You should, I think.
ReplyDeleteNo, Joan, I just sort of sit and stare, silently, in awe, with my mouth closed. Jane, however...
ReplyDeleteYeah, that Miss Jane is a crazeeee one.
ReplyDeleteOk... I also have to say that if I had the skills you have and access to the materials you have I would be tempted to fill my house with metal furnishings! Tre' Moderne!
