The rusty tracks that led to our building were unused for years; prospective planks and rails for a new spur were at rest where the workmen laid them. I walked along those tracks today at lunch, winding with its wind and following the same prairie-like landscape. I saw mating bees and daisy flowers and breathed deeper, easier than before.
Back at work now my head is still in the tall grass, my mind still aware of sunning snakes, my feet careful not to disturb.
