The great American road will, with God's grace, whiz 'neath my hinder for 700 or so miles this weekend. The warm relaxing Saturdays in every house and apartment I pass will exist in stark indifference to me. I will zip by unnoticed, a flash of steel and rubber. Then I will stop, for gas or food or peeing; and materialize. At such a stop I can touch a life, and lives can touch me. So , sweet Saturday American road, Curse not my anonymity, yea, bless the unabashed identity of us all-as one asphalt, one steel, one rubber.
And stay the hell out of my lane;)
