Ramps and Cavs

So Jane and I dig basketball, I love watching it all from college to WNBA to NBA but mostly Cavs basketball. Jane has patience for Cavs only. Last night we were granted 2 tickets the Nicks vs. Cavs game at the Q and both of us looked forward to the game.

Jane has been complaining alot about her parking garage (FREE, less than a block from her work) and all the steep ramps and tight turns and walking of flights of stairs. Last night was her chance to gain sympathy from me. So let me tell you, the ramps are steep, maybe 25 degrees, the coolest one is the top floor where you are actually driving onto the roof and it looks like the car is going to fly off the edge of the ramp into the night sky and through the building in front of you, before it levels off and your heart can be pulled from your throat. Oh, and you have to beep your horn at the start of each ramp because they are one way and you can't see around the corners (I loved this part). So then we walked down 4 floors, enjoyed dinner and the game and trudged back up 3 flights and 1 ramp. I still don't see what the big deal is, it's free and fun and you get a little bit of bonus exersize. Jane says I'm such a boy, she still hates her garage downtown.

  1. You are too funny. The ramps are steeper than 25 degrees in my sight. All the horns a honkin' just add to the festive atmosphere in that garage. ARGHHHH.

Parking on my office building (on E.9th St.-- a.k.a. Rock and Roll Blvd.) costs $10/day. I park on E.20th St. for Free. It takes 15 minutes to walk from my car to the office. Whenever this starts to feel like a drag I just do a little math excercise in my head and pretend that I'm being paid $40/hr to walk. (15 minutes walk=$10).
    That's right...I'm a guy too. And cheap.
