Make .mp3 into ringtone for LG Lotus Elite (Sprint)

Let's face it, they (the corporate bean counters) want you to buy and download ringtones. But what if, like myself, you have an extensive library of songs and sounds in .mp3 format and you simply want to assign one as a ringtone? Well, you're in luck, here's how:

1. Connect your phone to the PC
2. Open the DCIM folder, then open the folder inside of that (if you took any pictures they will all be in there too)
3. copy and paste your favorite songs or sounds into that folder (mp3 or wma format)
4. Rename the file extensions from .mp3 to .3g2
5. Disconnect from the PC and go to Settings>Ringers>(whatever you want to assign to)>My Videos>Memory Card>(your song!)

Done! Congratulations, you just got one over on The Man.

Wednesday

Savory

Veal pressed to 1/8" thick and dredged in flour, salt & pepper then sauteed in olive oil. Remove veal and put into a warm oven. De-glaze pan with 4 Tbsp butter and add 4 chopped garlic cloves and cook for 1 minute, add 1 can of cannellini beans and 1/2 cup of balsamic vinegar reduction. Season with French sea salt and cook until sauce thickens, about 2 minutes. Serve bean/sauce mixture over veal.

That was dinner last night and I have enough for lunch and dinner today. God bless baby cows, especially the one in my Tupperware.

The best part was that I got to share a nice meal with my beautiful bride on a chilly quiet Tuesday evening.

Monday

Learning to stand

I recently had the honor of being a launch pad for Morgan's standing-all-by-myself experiment.

Friday

A hot drink along lake Michigan

Monday morning in Chicago on the softest bed ever I woke without the alarm at 5:30. After 20 minutes on the elliptical and a nice shower, I was packed and ready to go. So I wandered across the street to get a good cup of coffee (hotel coffee had a strange sour note) where a rude barista lost my business. Not to worry, I thought, this place is loaded with cafes and about a block away and around the corner I found Lavazza. They were blasting "cornflake girl" which faded to a Beatles song as I ordered a double espresso for here and sat and sipped while a small contingent of French business people added and international feel. This was the best moment of the entire trip, watching brothers and sisters out the window with the din and the aromas of the cafe, I felt like a true passenger on the planet earth.

Thursday

Good morning

Michaela and Morgan were up early this morning (and I was running a little late) so I got to share a little of my routine. "Wha doing?" was followed by a giant smile and a giggle when I explained eating oats or putting on my shoes.

My day is made, everything else is frosting.

Friday

"All the World is Green"

I fell into the ocean
When you became my wife
I risked it all against the sea
To have a better life
Marie you're the wild blue sky
And men do foolish things
You turn kings into beggars
And beggars into kings

Pretend that you owe me nothing
And all the world is green
We can bring back the old days again
And all the world is green

The face forgives the mirror
The worm forgives the plow
The questions begs the answer
Can you forgive me somehow
Maybe when our story's over
We'll go where it's always spring
The band is playing our song again
And all the world is green

Pretend that you owe me nothing
And all the world is green
We can bring back the old days again
And all the world is green

The moon is yellow silver
Oh the things that summer brings
It's a love you'd kill for
And all the world is green

He is balancing a diamond
On a blade of grass
The dew will settle on our grave(s)
When all the world is green
